I guess another year has gone by...it is the last day of March and tomorrow will be April. I sometimes wonder where the time has gone by and what I have done with my time.

I do have to say, this past Christmas was very enjoyable. I went home to visit family and saw great friends which I had lots of fun. As for work, it is going well and looking forward for a new career change. So we will see...

Hopefully I get back on here soon and it will not be next year...untill then.

It has been a while...

Wow...I can't believe my last blog was October 2009! Let me see how I can do this...something quick and simple. As of now...I will post a picture of this delicious fruit because it is going to be an entire year of catching up! I will be back soon...I will have to gather my thoughts and write a brief story of what has been going on. This time it will not be a year...lol.

House Hunting

It has been a while since I been here…the past few months have been extremely busy in life that I have not had the time to sit down and write about it. As of now, you will get a little bit of action.

It was extremely depressing when I had to drive to Virginia. I miss my family, especially my girls, and my best friend Kathleen. I miss you guys so much!!

I drove by myself and with my four-legged companion Chloe and it was fun to say the least. We both made it safely to Virginia. I have been to Virginia on many several different occasions for work but I never realized that I would actually be living here. Virginia will be an adventure in the next coming years.

As of this week has been extremely difficult in finding a good home for Chloe and I.

I keep on running into rental properties that are either unreasonable/reasonable price or unsafe/safe neighborhoods or vice versa. The main problem is I have a pet. I lost count in how many rental properties I have looked in one day, not to add also the phone calls I have made. At the end of the day, it is exhausting.

As I inquire about the rental property, I mention to the owner that “I have a dog” and the response is “you must get rid of the dog, in order to rent here”. I think it is unreal to get rid of my pet that has been in my life for six years. Pets become part of the family after the first year. The first year with the pet is difficult but that is the bonding stage...I think. After you have trained the pet, it is easy, because they are obedient and will love you unconditionally.

It was to the point, where I have taken Chloe to several rental properties for an “interview” due to the owner wanted to see her attitude and disposition. Not to boast about Chloe...but they all enjoyed her and received much praise. No matter what...I am not going to get rid of my Chloe.

As of now, I will still keep on looking for a safe place for us to enjoy.

Dinner with the Crowe Family

When I go to D.C., for work, I ensure I take the time to visit the Crowe Family. Patty Crowe is a wonderful person who I worked with while being stationed in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. Over the years, she retired from the Navy as a Senior Chief Petty Officer and as for me I am continuing my career in the Navy. Patty has been a great mentor while I was stationed with her and until this day, she still is. Over the time while being stationed together, her family took me in as their own and I became part of her family. Every time I go to her house, it is feels like “Home Sweet Home”.

Nichole thank you for all the laughs.

Jeffrey and Jeff it was great hanging out with ya.

The Crowe Family we have to do this again next year. Patty, Jeff, Jeffrey and Nichole thank you for the dinner. One thing about Patty and Jeff is they are pretty cool and young at heart. Miss ya very much.

Washington, D.C. Trip

In the end of March, I went to Washington, D. C. for a day leadership seminar for work. It was three days long and full of information. The first day was best day because we (Kim, myself, and Melissa) went to sight see. We all decided to go to downtown D.C. and so we went to the museum and afterwards we had dinner. In addition, it was perfect because the Japanese Blossoms were at “their peek” for blossoming. The air was very fragrant and it was beautiful.

We rode the metro, which was a little scary at first but interesting just seeing the people in how they dress and keep to themselves. It is very different because down South we are very friendly and talk to everybody. I would smile at them and I would get no response. So I figured they are not very happy people. I wonder if they are thinking of other things besides not wanting to be there…who knows.

Also I got to see the Capitol, which was very beautiful. It was my first time seen it besides on television. When I move to Virginia in the fall, I want to make it an opportunity go to D.C. I will take a couple of days instead of one day to sightsee. We went to the Smithsonian Museum, which has the dinosaurs, Hope Diamond, and many more exhibits, it was all fascinating.

After we went to the museum and walked a couple of blocks, we ended up in China town. As for the girls, they did not care too much for Asian food so instead we at Ruby’s Tuesday. The food and the service was great. Then rode the metro back to the hotel, which we somewhat almost got lost, but we did find our way back safe and sound.

My First Blog....

Well, this is my first blog (all to the thanks of Kathleen)...I figured it would be therapeutic for me, in addition, adding on to my pile of mini projects I enjoy doing. Also I think it will be good for me since I will be going though trials and tribulations through out the year to come. Even though I am not looking forward to it, but will have to "face the music" one way or another as they say.

I will not see my boyfriend, family nor friends like I do now. I believe being around family and friends tells allot about a person in which of their personalities. As of now, I will enjoy them as much as I can and spend time with them. I will enjoy every minute and memory and take as much pictures, so I may look back at them when I move. One thing I am greatful is the technology...love the computer, telephone and the best for last webcam! As for now, I will not think of that at the moment and I will enjoy my boyfriend, family, and friends.

In the next month my boyfriend will be leaving and I will not be seeing him for a couple of months or longer, only time will tell with him. Then my family and friends. So now...I have started the blog and will be blogging my feeling and just what is on my mind at that moment of time.

Until then...have a great night and enjoy your day until next time.
